Owner and Winemaker
While Craig has worn many hats, including that of an Alaskan crab and salmon fisherman and a print shop owner, it wasn’t until the year 2000 that he began making wine from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes grown right here in the Napa Valley. These first batches of wine, made in a tank kept in our barn, were the beginning of Craig’s new career as a winemaker. Over the next decade and a half, he has honed his skills while making private label wines for clients and bottling wines under his own labels Sentall, Terroir Napa Valley, and Gibbs Vineyards.
After graduating from the University of San Diego in 2014 Spencer Handly decided to join the family business growing grapes and making wine. Spencer brings an ambitious attitude to all our new projects and the complex operations of running a small, family business. You might run into him at our tasting events, talk to him on the phone for orders, or see him bringing new barrels to the winery.
